Jane Iredale Makeup

Jane Iredale founded her own signature makeup company in 1994 after years of working in the entertainment industry. She was inspired to develop a makeup that was good for the skin after seeing actresses and models struggling with the ill-effects of the many kinds of makeup they wore. Her experience in working with women whose careers depended on a clear complexion allowed her to see how skin disorders and sensitivities not only threatened careers, but also destroyed self-confidence.

Her mineral makeup makeup collection is now world renowned, and used by celebrities and models as well as women who are seeking high quality makeup products that deliver beautiful results without compromising the health of their skin.

Finishes:   The nature of high quality minerals is to interact with light. This is what gives them their celebrated soft-focus effect. Jane Iredale foundations provide a variety of finishes from sheer to full, from luminescent to velvety.

Coverage:  Only pure mineral pigment is used. There are no fillers such as talc, so foundations and concealers give exceptional coverage that requires minimal touch-ups.

Range of Foundation Shades:  Beautiful range of shades complement a variety of skin-tones.

Adherence:   Minerals bind together upon application so they resist running, creasing and smearing. They can be removed with a cleanser or with a special micro-fiber cloth Magic Mitt, which requires only water for effective cleansing.

Minimum Allergy Risk:   All products are safety tested, allergy tested, clinically tested and dermatologist tested to ensure avoidance of any ingredients that may be skin sensitizers.

Non-comedogenic:   Jane Iredale foundations form a protective barrier on the skin that allows it to breathe and function normally. Laboratory tests confirm that all products are non-comedogenic and do not block pores.

Sun Protection:  Seven Jane Iredale products have earned the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. To earn this seal, a manufacturer must provide scientific data showing that its products sufficiently and safely aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.

Anti-irritant:   A conscious effort is made to include anti-irritant ingredients in products in order to measurably contribute to skin health.

Natural Preservatives:   Where preservatives are needed, a combination of natural preservatives are used, always excluding parabens.
